Worker Development and Formation

The primary manner in which the District serves the local church is in its relationship to licensed workers who lead those churches. We must ensure that pastoral leaders are appropriately and holistically equipped to lead healthy churches that can multiply. The District comes alongside of pastoral leaders in four major areas.

  • Leadership Development
  • Spiritual Formation
  • Accountability
  • Pastoral Care
  • Local Church Assistance and Empowerment

Another significant way in which the district serves the local church is to support, encourage, and inspire those churches toward their unique Kingdom contribution. A priority of the District is to resource healthy churches that can multiply. Following are the main ways this is accomplished.

  • Sunday/Weekend Ministry
  • Consultation
  • Mediation
  • Grants, Scholarships, and Development Loans
  • Ecclesiastical Oversight

The District and the churches that comprise the District are part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. As such, the district necessarily serves an ecclesiastical role in maintaining doctrinal and structural alignment with the denomination by its licensed workers and churches. In addition to the general oversight provided by the District, key ecclesiastical functions include the following.

  • Pastoral Transition/Placement
  • Licensing and Ordination/Consecration
  • Discipline
